Guandan Scorekeeper with Level Tracking

A scorekeeper for four-player, two-team Guandan. Tap who went out first and where their partner finished — each team’s level advances on its own and the match is called when someone clears A.

Who’s playing

How many levels you gain

It depends on where the first player’s partner finishes: a double win (first and second) is three levels, first and third is two, first and last is only one. That is why Guandan is really about protecting your partner rather than going out fast yourself.

Levels run 2, 3, 4 … 10, J, Q, K, A. Advancing stops at A: if you would gain three levels but are one short of A, you stop at A and still have to win another round to clear it and take the match.

The points here simply turn levels into money — one level, one stake. If you do not play for money, set money per point to zero and just watch the levels.

Common questions

How are the teams seated?

Seats one and three are partners, and so are two and four — the player across from you is your teammate. The order you type the names when starting a table is the seating order, so enter it the way you are actually sitting.

What if we stall at A?

Just keep logging rounds — you stay at A rather than dropping back. Some houses drop you a level or send you back to 2 after three failed attempts; that variant is not automated here, so adjust manually if you play it.
